This is my adapted return to running program I have successful used with many of my clients to return to running after rehabilitation or during late stage rehabilitation. You do not need to be fully recovered to return to running but you need to understand the acceptable levels of pain and how your body is recovering to progress your distances and rest intervals between runs.
I also suggested downloading Strava and tracking your runs with notes to see your progress. Ask me if you'd like to know more about how to track and pace using strava for rehab.
